The Music Open Mic is *Wednesday January 15*
Hope to see you there! Last month was a great turnout. There was so much talent and support in the room. Every open mic is a breath of fresh air.
The sign up sheet goes out at 7pm. The mic goes from 7:30-10pm. It’s first come, first serve. The order is picked at random. Everyone gets 2 songs (10mins max). There’s a Steinway piano, cajon drum, bass, and guitar amp you can use. If there’s time at the end, I always encourage an open jam. The space is All Ages, BYOB, and there is no cover charge. We have water and other refreshments for sale for $1. All are welcome.
New Video up on YouTube from December’s show!
Come Original Showcase this Saturday January 18
It’s very rare to have the open mic and showcase in the same week, but I’m here for it! Last January I had a singer-songwriter night and it was so well recepted, I thought I’d do it again this year. I’m obsessed with this lineup.
First we have Lupe Dragon who is a force in the North Jersey music scene. I think almost everyone knows who she is. She’s amazing at bringing people together and a great performer. You can watch a clip of her performance here in October.
I’ve known Kate Dressed Up for close to a decade now. We met when I was booking shows in New Brunswick, NJ and I’ve booked her solo and with her band countless times. You’ll see why. Her songs are so damn good and paint a beautiful picture. I’m honored to have her on this show.
Nick Kits is a Madison native and an amazing songwriter and musician. He recently produced the Nick Kits Variety Show at the Arts Center which was super cool to see and be a part of (I did sound). I’m still waiting for those songs to be recorded so I can jam out to “Waiting on Andrew” and all the other bangers. Seriously, this guy has an abundance of talent and ambition, I can’t wait to see what he does next.
Last but not least, Roe Knows Best returns to the stage! From Nutley, NJ, Roe brings heartfelt lyrics and melodies you’ll be singing yourself to sleep with. You can watch a clip of her performance from September. Listen to her new(ish) song, Capture the Flag, it’s so good!
Please come out to this show on Saturday and support these gems! I promise you won’t regret it. There will also be FOUR local pop up shops that you can support: Dirtnap.straps, Ten Harvest Candles, Kaitlyn’s QC Artist Shop, and of course Mutual Morris Coffee Cart (who raises money for Morris County’s Mutual Aid Org).
BYOB (& Food) | ALL AGES | 7pm
**Tickets are only $10 if you get them online today! They go up to $15 if you grab them at the door on the night of the show.**
So much more to come in 2025!
